Sportshall Team Trials - 6th Sept

Athletics clubs in the Leicestershire and Rutland area select teams in the U11, U13, and U15 categories to compete in various Sportshall events. At Ivanhoe Robins, we take pride in participating each year. Last year, we achieved something amazing—we won all the categories! Some of our talented Robins athletes went on to represent Leicestershire and Rutland at the Sportshall Regional Finals. From there, several of our U13 and U15 athletes reached the UK National Finals and proudly brought home medals for our trophy cabinet!

Sportshall Trials: Your Chance to Shine

Due to the limited number of athletes we can place in a team, we hold a Sportshall trials session to record results. This helps us select the best athletes for our teams. If your child is interested in being part of the team, we would love for them to join us at the trials on the 6th of September. If you have any questions, feel free to speak to Gary or Sharon!

On the 6th of September, athletes who are in school years 5-10 or who are in year 4 but will turn 9 before the day of any of the three competitions can participate in the trials for the Sportshall team.

🕰️ Time: 9 am to 11:15 am (for all interested athletes)

📍 Location: Ivanhoe Sportshall

9️⃣ Minimum Age: 9 before the start of any of the competition dates (see below)

Ivanhoe Sportshall will be set up with all the events shown in the poster. We will record distances and times achieved. These results help us pick the team alongside other available data.

• Athletes aged 7 and 8 will have a normal session from 9 am to 10 am as usual.

• Athletes in the second session who are in school year 11 and over will have their own session from 10:15 am to 11:15 am as usual, or they can come and help with the trials.
