Sportshall Team Trials - 6th September

Athletics clubs in the Leicestershire and Rutland area select teams in the U11, U13 and U15 categories to compete in the various Sportshall events. Ivanhoe Robins takes part each year and last year managed to win all the categories - amazing! Some of our Robins Athletes went on to represent L&R at the Sportshall Regional Finals and from there, some of our U13/U15 athletes reached the UK National Finals and gained medals for the trophy cabinet . 

Due to the limited number of athletes we can place in a team, we hold a Sportshall trials session to record results to help us select the teams.

If your child is interested in being part of the team, please do come along to trials on the 6th September - or speak to Gary / Sharon if you have any questions.

On the 6th September, athletes who are in school years 5-10 or who are in year 4 but will turn 9 before the day of any of the 3 competitions will (if they want) take part in the trials for the Sportshall team.

🕰️Time: 9am to 11:15 (for all interested athletes)

📍Ivanhoe Sportshall

9️⃣Minimum Age: 9 before the start of any of the competition dates (see below)

➡️Ivanhoe Sportshall will be set up with all the events shown in the poster and we record distances and times achieved - these help us pick the team alongside other results we have available

➡️Athletes who are aged 7 and 8 will have a normal session at 9-10 as usual

➡️Athletes in the 2nd session who are school Y11 and over, will have their own session at 10.15-11.15 as usual

➡️or they can come and help with the trials.

💥IMPORTANT : To make the trials session possible, we do need help. Please let us know if you can help record results between 9-11:15am The more volunteers we have the smoother and faster the session can run 💥

No experience necessary, just a willingness to count / time / support - all very easy we promise 😊
