Track & Field Events
Many of our athletes enjoy taking part in a range of track & field events - from Quad Kids to Open Competitions,
there are plenty to choose from.
Quad Kids
QuadKids is the original Run / Jump / Throw programme for schools based athletics.

The Leicestershire & Rutland Quadkids Challenge provides a platform for all young athletes under 12 to compete at a sprint, a throw, a long jump and a middle distance race. Points are awarded for performances and results in an individual Champion and a Champion club. There are three matches in total - join one or all three.

Robins Quadrathlon
A Robins only competition, held during training, giving all athletes to experience a competition with their team mates and coaches to support.

Four events - including a sprint, throw, jump and longer distance - sees children compete in year groups for points in each event.

Open Meetings
In track and field, an "open" event, also known as an "open competition" or "open meeting," is one where any qualified athlete or club can participate. These events are not restricted by age, gender, or performance level, unlike championships or invitational meets.
pen events are often used for athletes to gain experience, improve their times or distances, or meet entry standards for other competitions.

There are a variety of Open Meetings throughout the season, including Charnwood Opens, County Champs, Birchfield Young Athletes Open, Wenlock Open and many more.
