More about the Derbyshire Mini League
The Derbyshire Mini League is inter-club competition specifically for young athletes. A year-round programme of league competition provides young athletes aged 9 to 15 years (U11, U13 and U15) with cross country and sportshall athletics in the winter (October to March), and track and field in the summer (April to September). Most Derbyshire clubs with junior sections enter Mini League matches and your club will be able to give specific information.
These events are aimed at athletes from U11 to U15 (school years 4 to 9; athletes must be nine years old to compete) and include sprints, hurdles, distance and relay track events, and high jump, long jump, shot and discus/javelin/howler on the field.
